Hi, I’m Elissa!

I am a Nurse turned UX designer. In my professional years as a  neonatal nurse, lactation consultant, and healthcare coordinator, I have had the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. My desire to understand and help people, problem solve, and my passion to create impactful experiences has led me to the wonderful world of UX design!

Through my people-centered work experiences as a nurse, I have cultivated a skillset of problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and empathy. I have always worked with a people first approach and I strive to create impactful and user-centric experiences in my design. 

Outside of work, you can find me in a ceramics studio working on my craft. Ceramics, an art that brings together form and function, has taught me to create with the user in mind. The size, comfort, and ease of use of a piece can greatly impact how a user experiences what I create. When I am not creating, you can find me trying new restaurants, watching movies, or traveling to new cities!
